The skilled Process Simulation Engineer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry, will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting process simulations to enhance plant performance, improve efficiency, and support design and operational decisions. Proficiency in simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, Petro-SIM, or UniSim is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process Modeling and Simulation: Develop and validate steady-state and dynamic simulation models for oil and gas (like refineries, gas processing plants, LNG facilities, and offshore platforms), using tools various simulation tools.
  • Perform process modeling for front-end engineering design (FEED), basic engineering, and detailed design phases.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize process parameters, and improve energy efficiency, yield, and operational performance.
  • Assist in process safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA)and risk assessments using dynamic simulation data.
  • Generate technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and P&ID reviews based on simulation results.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas processes, including separation, compression, distillation, and heat transfer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process engineers, operations, R&D) to ensure simulations align with real-world conditions and business objectives.
