Job Role: We are seeking an experienced Stress Engineer with strong expertise in piping stress analysis for refinery and petrochemical projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ASME B31.3 code compliance and proficiency in CAESAR II for modeling and analysis.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform detailed piping stress analysis for critical lines of high-temperature, high-pressure, and special piping systems.
- Develop and validate piping stress models and reports using CAESAR II, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Hands-on expertise in CAESAR II for stress modeling and analysis (must).
- Review P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, and vendor drawings to identify stress-critical list and provide best design solutions.
- Evaluate and design pipe support systems, including spring hangers, and special supports.
- Conduct nozzle load checks for static and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, exchangers, vessels) as per applicable standards.
- Identify potential piping flexibility issues and recommend modifications to piping routing.
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, civil/structural, and project engineering teams.
- Prepare and review stress reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of piping materials, fabrication, and installation practices.
- Familiarity with international standards (ASME, EN, BIS, API, NEM A, WRC) is an advantage.
